It’s Been A Long Time.

I began this space a long time ago as a place where I could document my own experiences, talk about what was on my mind and share with others. As an introvert, I tend to bottle up thoughts and I tend to overthink everything. Here, in this space, I gave myself the freedom to shareContinue reading “It’s Been A Long Time.”

Autoimmune Autoimmune Disease
Slowed down enough today to notice this gorgeous bloom. I still require my kids to do quiet time in the afternoon because everyone needs a break by then 🫠 Made myself an afternoon latte and stood on the porch staring at this flower for a little bit because my summer mom brain is already fried. We planted 200 tulip bulbs along the guardrail that I loathe + it actually makes it look ok until the tulips are done blooming. @jerpaul86 worked hard last April to do all of the major work. I took a year to finish it all 🤭 The bathroom is complete. Swipe to see what we started with. Hundreds of pounds of stone weighing heavily on this old farmhouse 😅 One of my favorites, gladiolus, is heading into the garden today. The weather is finally warming + summer is on the horizon. Next up, zinnias + strawflowers 😍 My name is Maddie. About 3 weeks ago I swallowed a round @nerf rival bullet. I seemed fine and my family assumed it had passed. I waited until a holiday weekend to begin the process of passing it, making me horribly sick. They took me to the ER but that sneaky ball stayed hidden in the X-ray. Yesterday I was on deaths door all day until about 8 pm when I pooped out the most expensive nerf bullet. Easter Printables are live in the shop. Quick + easy decor with a big impact We went to the antique mall yesterday. I always have a list in my wallet of things I’m on the lookout for so I can stay focused and not buy random stuff. A stool for our new desk space is on the list. I found it. I didn’t like the price so I passed and told myself if I was still thinking about it by Wednesday I’d go back for it. Turns out, Jeremy and the kids went after church to get it to surprise me. I guess it was meant to be. A whole decade of this squish face. Happy birthday to the boy that made me a mama. What I would do to go back for a newborn snuggle We knew it was coming but we weren’t prepared for today. Maile Mookers, you will (and already are) missed 🥺
